Meet the Founder of Sports with Rusty

I'm Rusty Udy, sports writer, advocate, fan & now, creator of my own web-site, sportswithrusty.com

I have been around the sports scene for as long as I can remember. My first memories of sports involve watching local baseball greats Joe Goddard & Scottie Cuthbert playing American Legion baseball with my parents.

Baseball & golf were the main sports I played in high school. I played at Shady Spring High School for two years before moving to Tennessee where I played for the 1981 Class AAA State Champion, Germantown Red Devils.

My goal as a writer has always been & will continue to be bringing attention to as many young athletes as possible, while sharing my love for all sports and hopefully inspiring that in others. This site will allow me the freedom needed to accomplish that goal. Please share this site with family, friends, athletes, coaches and athletic directors. Together we can help all of our local athletes receive the recognition they deserve!
